The concept of a best friend is not something that is entirely foreign to most people. Someone who is always there for you in the good and the bad, always right by your side. Sometimes there maybe disputes and mishap. However, if you need someone to call they are always there.
I have been fortunate in my life to have so many incredible people around me whom I would consider a “best friend.” Through this song I wanted to explore the notion of a “shadow” or good friend who is sewn to you for life. I wanted to explore the idea that even when times are at their toughest, a good friend will always be around to help you through no matter how difficult it may be.
